Area pianist, Findlay Cockrell, will give a short recital on the recently purchased new piano in the auditorium. His program will include a Debussy group, the Seven Piano Pieces Opus 116 by Brahms, and will end with three by Liszt. Admission is free, and all are invited.

Mr. Cockrell, well known in the Capital District for 45 years during his faculty
years at UAlbany and at countless area performances in solo, chamber music,
accompaniment, and concerto-with-orchestra repertoire, including several
locations of Noon concerts, came to the Capital District in 1966 from his years
in NYC at Juilliard. Before that he was a student at Harvard, and before that
had a full music life as a young person in california's Bay Area, where his father
taught at UCBerkeley and his mother was an active pianist-about-town. He
performs in Barbados, Russia, as well as his two homes (Albany and CA), and
is busy with the production of CDs during his retirement
